Earworms

Am currently on a long hiatus, and I have no idea how long it will last. Have even broken away from K-dramas for 3 weeks (take that I can’t even believe myself!). But rest assured no fret (just in case anyone’s curious or asking), all is well all is good, am at a very lovely and contented place right now and cannot be happier. Times like these get me on the roll thinking I should have gone out to live life a lil bit more in the past than use em up on K-dramas. But I have no regrets and have no plans on stopping… just that it’ll take me quite a bit to get back on track. Wait for me.

Been indulging in some earworms as of late and thought of sharing the awesomeness: –

One Warm Word before Christmas

flowers

Ahhhhh how so sweet of this lil boy son of a chinggu of mine <33333 my first Christmas pressieeeee filled with love and fuzzzzzes. It’s been ages since I’d received flowers RL flowers (right, my life is dried up till the bone!) and this hand-made piece literally melted me heart on my very own knees, I’m all warm fluffy fuzzzzzz now ;))) thank you thank you for reminding me that I still have “market” teeeheeee~~

Christmas season this year has been unusually quiet and un-happening, less and without the usual booze-fest and BBQ parties, nada and zero invites AT ALL I start to wonder if it’s my problem. I see friends and peepz prepp-ing busy for the seaosn, I do feel green in envy but have no urge to join. Prolly due to work cramming up at 11th hour (usually near yuletide I’m all freed of workload) with an out of the blue first in years overseas work trip to start just 2 weeks ago, I literally had the lest of time and mood to actually prepare Christmassy stuff for my family and friends (still have time for Kdrama thou LOL).  I should feel bad, right, I actually do.

Yi Kang & Lei Lei’s Pursuit of Happiness

TPOH1

THIS SHOW OWNS ME, OWNS ME OWNS ME OWNS ME MY BRAIN CAN’T EVEN FUNCTION! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!

It’s a rare case of obsession and love, as I’ve never really been much of a TW series fan. The last I’ve ever watched fully was In Time With You, and though my love was equally immense for that where I rem I had endless to die for squeesqoonworthy moments, I did suffer bits from dragginess and frustration with the narrative motif of certain characters (especially You Qing, when dealing with her relationship with Li Da Ren and the other guy Sunny Wang played). But I adored the execution and the vibe, as well as the amount of thought and consideration put into the dialogues. It was really a one of a kind piece, you don’t get  a lot of those in mainstream Taiwan industry, which is almost always amassed with chic flics and sugary cheesy stuff which give you major whiplashes right from the beginning.

Then The Pursuit of Happiness came along, and literally SLAYED ME. This IS PURE SOLID STUFF, about almost everything anything that you want to know about falling in love and finding the love that you want and need.

Bear with me. <3333

Immortal Song 2: LED Apple’s “Invisible Love”

I don’t need to repeat, but I can’t help it!

AHHHHHH, SHOW YOU ARE SOOOOOOOO EFFFFIN UHMAZZZZZING!!!!!!!!!

I didn’t even know who LED Apple were before this show, and I will be honest to say I that I judged them way before they performed. Their visual idol-ish look made me think they were going for something more visual and blingy, and MEH yeah they will just go all dancy and rock-ish to cover up for their not so good singing skills. I knew it. But I was so wrong.

So so so wrong.

Bad bad me for pre-judging. And I thought I’d learned well from Sandeul’s case. Was absolutely completely jawdrop stunned and blown away by LED Apple’s  rendition of ballad legend Shin Seung Hun”s “Invisible Love“, esp vocalist Han Byul‘s rock solid delivery of such a melancholic song. You could feel the surge of emotions in his singing alone, the emptiness and devastation. You look at them and you cannot see or sense how much power these young idols have. They may be young, but the way they sing they sing from experience, as if they have been like this since forever. And although they did not win (beaten by the equally amazing V.O.S), theirs definitely left the biggest and most lasting impression.

I AM SO NOT WORTHY.

I think at this rate I’m going to have an IS2 feature on my blog every single week, DARN!
